Hi! I'm Niamh, a documentary family photographer from Navan, Co. Meath. As a mum of three I know better than anyone that family life is wonderfully chaotic, beautifully ordinary, and absolutely worth capturing. If you're visiting Ireland and you want real, natural photos of your whole family — the kind that actually look like you — I'd love to help.

No stiff poses. No fake smiles. Just your family enjoying Ireland, and me quietly capturing every gorgeous moment of it.

How it works

It honestly feels just like a family day out

I follow along while you explore, the kids chasing seagulls in St. Stephen's Green Park, everyone stopping for ice-cream, your family wandering down cobblestone streets of Temple Bar or discovering a quiet corner of the Irish countryside. I'm there with my camera, but I'm not directing the day, you are!

My style is documentary, which means I'm capturing things as they actually happen. The laughter, the chaos, the quiet in-between moments, that's the good stuff. And if you'd like a few natural group shots too, just say the word and I'll gently guide you. No awkward posing, I promise!

Things people often ask me

Where do sessions take place?

All over! I'm based in Co. Meath and I regularly shoot in Dublin city, along the coast, out in the countryside, and at heritage spots across the region. Once you get in touch I'll suggest a few options based on what you're already planning or we can work around a spot you've had your heart set on.

My kids don't really do posed photos — will this still work?

Honestly, those are my favourite sessions! I work in a very relaxed, documentary way, I'm not asking anyone to stand still and smile. I just follow the family and capture things as they happen. Kids who run off, toddlers who refuse to look at the camera, teenagers pretending they're too cool for it, it all ends up in the photos and it's always brilliant.

What about the weather? This is Ireland after all...

Ha, good question! I'm well used to a bit of Irish weather and honestly, overcast skies and even a light drizzle can make for gorgeous photos. If it's truly not workable, we'll rearrange, no stress. I always have a plan B!

How do I get my photos?

I'll send you a link to your own private online gallery, usually within 3-4 weeks of your session. From there you can download everything, share with family back home, and print whatever you love. Simple as that!

How do I book?

Just drop me a message with your travel dates and which package you're interested in and I'll come straight back to you. A deposit secures your date and the balance is due before your session. I'd absolutely love to hear from you!
